This year at The Castle Hotel we’re celebrating Christmas in a relaxed, fun and indulgent way with our Mamma Mia Themed Party Nights!
Our Popular Magical Christmas Parties will be a night full of surprises & prizes of course! A 4 star event with a 4 course sumptuous banquet, dancing, mulled wine and music ABBA Style!

Cost: €59 pp (deposit of €20 pp required at time of booking)

Overnight luxurious accommodation is also available with our traditional Country Breakfast the next morning. Complimentary use of our Leisure Club with 16 M deck level heated pool, spa bubble pool, steam room and gym.

Macroom - Some Facts & Figures!

Macroom in Irish may mean 'meeting place of followers'

Macroom's first mention in the records comes from the sixth century, when the townland was known as Achad Dorbchon.

The town of Macroom was the site of a major battle involving Brian Boru.

Macroom was one of the earliest centres in Ireland where milling was carried out.

Macroom was the birth-place of Admiral Sir William Penn, a distinguished British Admiral and father of William Penn.

Macroom is twinned with Bubry in Brittany and Marcallo Con Casone in Italy.

Traditionally, it is said that Macroom is "the town that never reared a fool."

Jersey Day!

September 14th is 'Jersey Day' at The Castle Hotel Macroom! In support of our Rebel Friends in The All Ireland Final, all Castle Hotel staff will be wearing the Cork Jersey with pride. From bar staff to reception staff, our customers will be greeted by a sea of RED this Tuesday.

To celebrate our Jersey Day, there will be uniquely designed 'Cork Cakes' on sale in 'The Next Door Cafe', and specially created dishes on our lunch menus, named after our Cork Heroes. Lots more Jersey Day Red Fun will take place all day, so please drop in and help us to support The Rebels!
